During this month of March, traditionally dedicated to Saint Joseph , discover some of his virtues as a husband : he will inspire many men in their marriage today! Of course, it is not possible to know every aspect of the married life of Joseph and Mary , but certain aspects of his life show that he is a husband to imitate and admire.
1 PATIENCE INCARNATE

Saint Joseph had the patience of a saint – literally! Imagine living with someone as pure and virtuous as Mary. He had to have incredible patience to follow God’s plan and to support his wife through their trials and tribulations.
2 AN OUTSTANDING HANDYMAN

Not only did Saint Joseph have the skills to build a house fit for the King of kings, but he probably also made ingenious furniture . Marie probably had the most solid and elegant dining table in Nazareth!
3 AN INNATE SENSE OF DIRECTION

Whether it was the trip to Bethlehem for the census or the flight to Egypt to escape the wrath of Herod , the Holy Family was in good hands. Joseph probably also had a good sense of direction: no need for GPS when he was behind the wheel… of his donkey!
4 MASTER OF DISCRETION

Saint Joseph was the embodiment of discretion . Despite the miraculous circumstances of Jesus ‘ conception , he kept Mary’s secret, showing incredible respect for her and her divine vocation.
5 PROVIDER AND PROTECTOR

As head of the Holy Family, Saint Joseph diligently provided for Mary’s physical and emotional needs. He worked tirelessly to ensure their safety, sustenance and comfort, embodying the virtues of responsibility and selflessness .
6 A MODEL OF HUMILITY AND OBEDIENCE

Saint Joseph humbly accepted God’s will and obediently followed his directions, even when it meant facing challenges and uncertainties. His humility allowed him to support Mary in her unique vocation without seeking recognition or glory for himself.
