4th – Envy of the grace that God gives to others . Envy is a feeling that is irritated because the other got something good. Even if you have that or you can get a day. It is the act of not wanting the good of the fellow. If I envy the grace that God gives to someone, I am saying that person does not deserve such grace, thus making me the judge of the world. I am turning against the divine will. I am turning against the Law of Love to my neighbor. We should not envy a good that someone has conquered. If this good is the fruit of honest and persevering work, it is God’s will that one enjoy that grace.
