When you start to feel gloomy, When you start to feel gloomy, pray to Saint Judas

Do you feel alone and depressed? Address this prayer to Saint Judas (not Judas Iscariot!), better known as Jude or Thaddeus, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus, and receive hope.

Depression can affect us all at some point in our lives. Whether it’s severe depression or milder, we all know that feeling of feeling alone and forgotten. And that can sometimes lead us down a dark path.

But here’s some good news: God wants to take us out of this dark tunnel and lead us into the glorious light of day. Prayer, beyond appropriate medical follow-up, can be a powerful help in escaping the tentacles of depression and thus entering a new life, filled with deep joy.

Here is a prayer to Saint Judas, a saint often forgotten because of his name and yet a great intercessor of desperate causes. :

Saint Judas, friend of those in need: I am sad, without joy and without hope.I struggle to find the light that I know is within my soul.I turn to you, my reliable intercessor: take away from me this feeling of emptiness and the pain of my broken heart. In your compassion, lead me to peace of heart.I have forgotten the goodness of God for too long;heal me, I long for the light.I want to feel joy.I promise you that if I receive these gifts, I will always share them on your behalf.Amen.
